Stephen-Michael was born and raised in a loving God-fearing family. From a young age, he was taught to love God with his whole heart and show God’s light every chance he gets. Additionally, he was taught to always remember the village that helped you to make it to the next season of your life. Stephen-Michael loves family and his close friends. It matters to him dearly.
While born in DC, Stephen-Michael was raised and connects heavily to PG County, Maryland. The wealthiest Black county in the nation, the impact that PG County provides is important to Stephen-Michael. It’s a place where minorities are what you see mostly, and especially in ways that’s not common across the country.
Stephen-Michael graduated from Morgan State, an HBCU in Baltimore City. Furthermore, he will be getting his Marketing MBA from the U of Baltimore in 2023. Through his educational efforts, Stephen-Michael loves Baltimore and the uniqueness it provides. And most importantly, Stephen-Michael’s love of media and tech bloomed here from 2016-2020. He is very grateful for the creative skills gained in the City and the long lasting connections made.
Stephen-Michael was born in Washington, DC. His family attended a historic church on 9th & D Street NW; which was a great meeting point and foundation for his family. As college loomed, Stephen-Michael joined the Howard Upward Bound program in 2013. This program gave SM his first exposure to HBCUs as well as collegiate student leadership.
Stephen-Michael attends church and frequently patronizes black owned businesses within the county. As Stephen transited to NJ/NY in the Summer of 2020, he desires to make a genuine impact through his church’s outreach efforts as well as through the Season Foundation.
