2022 Baltimore City Season Foundation Scholarship Winner is Announced

We are proud to announce Faith Curbeam as our Baltimore City Scholarship Winner

Faith Curbeam, a recent graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in Baltimore, Maryland is our 2022 Baltimore City winner! She will be attending Cornell University in Ithaca, NY with a major in Computer Science.

“Upon receiving this scholarship, I was ecstatic and honored to have been chosen from a pool of other qualified and talented candidates from the city of Baltimore. It means so much that someone saw potential in me, enough to aid in my pursuit for higher education. It's common knowledge that college is very expensive; it's something that most students will have to pay for years into their professional/post-graduating lives. So, when presented with opportunities from groups and corporations such as the Season Foundation, I begin to feel exceedingly grateful for their contributions towards my next four years, and just as they have chosen to lend a helping hand to someone in their community hoping to take that next big leap into their future, I too hope to one day be able to give back to my community as a proud Cornellian, but even more importantly, as an even prouder Baltimorean. Thank you so much Season Foundation!” - Faith Curbeam

Faith Curbeam’s Accomplishments:

  • Cumulative G.P.A of 3.9

  • Honors & AP Courses

  • National Society of High School Scholars

  • BitView Coding Club

When asked about Faith Curbeam, Stephen-Michael lead of the SZN Foundation stated:

“When first speaking to Faith during her final round interview, her confidence was one of the first things that came to the forefront. Quiet but sure of her abilities, she showed poise during our discussion.

What makes this award even sweeter for the foundation is that Faith is highly interested in technology. She wants to add diversity and woman-led innovation to the technical space; which is very needed in the tech world. With the interactions with Faith, I am very confident in her future. She has a plan!”

We wish Faith all the best in her next chapter in New York!

“Faith was very motivated, determined, and possessed a spark that we loved.” - Shaylon Arnold, Season Foundation Executive Assistant

The Season Foundation wants to thank the students from Baltimore City for applying for the scholarship! We do not take this for granted and we are grateful to give back to the city of Baltimore, Maryland.
