Meet Our 2022 Scholarship Recipients!

The 2022 Season Foundation Scholarship Cycle Closes With Four Scholarship Recipients

In the Fall of 2021, the Season Foundation opened up its 2022 Scholarship Applications.

With this, Public HS Seniors from Washington DC, PG County MD, Baltimore City MD, and Essex County, NJ all had the opportunity to apply for a scholarship that represented the region of their schooling. With the scholarship applications being easy to fill out, this was an opportunity for students to gain confidence in their application pursuits within their scholarship search. Also, the applicants were applying against students in their county or city only; which made for a more fair process for the scholars.

After a few months of applications that concluded with 14 final round interviews; we have our recipients! Each recipient will receive an $1,500 scholarship to be used for schooling and college related expenses.

“Each of these winners was specifically handpicked for a reason. They each possessed a uniqueness that we couldn't turn away from. I am so proud to be a part of this amazing process. Looking forward to seeing how far these amazing individuals go in the future.” Season Foundation Executive Assistant, Shaylon Arnold

This year's group of scholars represent an HBCU, Ivy League Institution, a Top Music School, and an International Institution. The level of success between all four scholars adds prestige to our efforts; and we are excited for the start of their next chapters.

When asked about this year's scholarship cycle, Stephen-Michael lead of the SZN Foundation stated:

“Doing this initiative makes my heart glad. This year, we had over 40 applicants that represented 20 high schools within three counties and one city. This was a great effort and my expectations were exceeded.

I want to thank my Executive Assistant Shaylon Arnold for believing in this vision, and putting in amazing effort throughout the process. I want to thank the High School Counselors for reaching out and passing this along to their students. For context, it was over 100 schools in our scholarship base this year; we emailed every high school to bring light to this opportunity.

Lastly, I want to thank the students! The Season Foundation is not even two years old so to have so many students apply and reach out; it’s humbling and adds legitimacy to our efforts. I am so excited for the future of the students that we interacted with

Overall, I am very overwhelmed in the best way possible. This Scholarship is funded by profits from SZN Media as well as community donations. For every paid invoice, donation, and re-share of our content; I am extremely grateful!”

The Season Foundation will like to thank everyone for their support of this year’s scholarship efforts. As the Foundation grows, this will continue to be a yearly staple!
